Both. The rear unit mounts high on the back glass and its cable runs forward under the headliner to the front camera, which is a longer job on SUVs and hatchbacks because of the tailgate loom. Two channels mean a rear-end hit is on video as clearly as a front one.
A Viper 3108V alarm installation at $699 installed as of October 2026 is normally a half-day job, longer if the vehicle needs a data interface or you add sensors. Book a morning slot and it is usually ready by afternoon. We do not rush the wiring to hit a clock, because the wiring is the product.
